The added value is locked inside Citi's own booking portal. If you book direct for status or flexibility, treat the rename as cosmetic and judge the card on its everyday categories.

The card still behaves like 2% cash back if you cash out. But paired with a Strata Premier account, the same spend becomes transferable points — which is the only scenario where it beats a plain 2% card.
What's the answer?
