The short version

CreditCardAnswers does not sell your data. We don't run affiliate links. We don't track you across the web. When you ask a question, it goes to our Answer Engine and is discarded once the answer is returned — we keep no account of who asked what.

What you share when you ask

The Answer Engine runs on a third-party language model. Your question text is sent to that model to generate a response, then it is not stored on our side. We do not link a question to your identity because we don't ask for one — there is no login required to read or ask.

If you subscribe to The Weekly Audit, we store the email address you gave us for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from any issue.

What we don't do

• We don't place affiliate links. Ever. No card earns us a commission.
• We don't sell or rent email lists.
• We don't build a profile of your wallet to resell.
• We don't use third-party ad networks that follow you around the internet.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to count aggregate, anonymous traffic — which pages are read and which questions are common. This helps us decide what to cover next. It does not identify you as an individual.

Children's privacy

CreditCardAnswers is written for adults making financial decisions. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. Credit cards are a contract — if you're not old enough to sign one, the answers here are for general education, not application.

Your choices

You can ask questions without subscribing. You can read every article without an account. You can stop the newsletter at any time. If you believe we've gotten something wrong about your data, write to us at the address on the contact page.

Changes to this notice

If our practices change, we'll update this page and note the date below. Material changes get a note in The Weekly Audit.
